Found: the artist of my moment

Firstly, HEADS UP I slightly intoxicated by a tablet that has is indicated to have a mild sedative effect. My head is feeling heavy but I am determined to share my discovery of my favourite artist. I will do as it says and avoid driving heavy machinery but that does not mean I may not crash this blog into the ground before it had a chance.

Discovered. Artist. BelindaFox.

I came across Belindas work when I had worked extremely hard and recieved my bonus and I bravely thought… I would invest in art… dream on M. Like now, I was on a high and in the pursuit for an artwork that inspired and of natural beauty with an element of disorder. I wanted it provoke uncertainty. When I discovered belinda fox I stopped looking. I cannot afford her work but she is my background. I will pay her back eventually.

Do you want her too ?

” Belinda Fox works are exquisitely crafted explorations of the duality of human nature. The tenuous notion of balance, the potential for both creation and destruction, hope and despair and beauty and decay. “

Wax, paint, watercolour, print, silk…

Her collections include the National Gallery of Australia.

In three words: Beauty Quality Design.

One minute. Puff Pastry. Butter. Vegeeeease

VeryExcitingNews. this is the easiest fastest, most delicious dinner that can be made in one minute flat + cooking time. & it is 100% satisfying.

I was sitting at home. feeling perfectly sunday exhausted.  After waking early (and baking breakfast for the boyfriend, i went to lifesaving. after five hours of sitting in the sun and eyes on the water I felt the need for culture. I visited Eugene Atget – old paris at the national art gallery.

Before home I stopping off at messina for a peanutbutter&maltbiscuit ice cream and provide a padded shoulder to comfort a broken hearted friend. There is nothing like ice cream for drying tears at any age. By the time I got home, the cool change came through, my clove candle was lit and I needed dinner.

I am not a fan of take out. if someone else is to cook for me it delivered on a white plate and dining experience; whether thats a dinner party or a cafe. plastic containers, cardboard boxes or paper bags are only used on those very few, rare occasions especially when there is food in the fridge.

But nothing looked more unappealing than the endings of the weeks vegetables and meals.

I needed something warm, tasty  quick, easy and flavoursome. Using only one tray, one pan, one pair of scissors and 10 minutes later I was tucking into dinner.

Craving Christmas in October.

My birthday is in october. it is the month of breast cancer. the month of exams. the month of jacaranda trees. and finally the month that department stores, supermarkets and general stores start promoting this years season of christmas decorations. and I love it.

In my final year of school my 18th birthday fell in the first week of exams. It was also the day of geography and visual arts theory exams.

Needless to say, it was almost forgotten.

I remember it well, I got up. Was welcomed in the kitchen by the blackboard being scribbled Happy birthday messages from my sister who had left for university. Breakfast coffee was out, but cold. I slept in. I ate breakfast. I studied. Looked at my feet and took myself to the gym and bought myself a gym membership. I used the membership. Then went to the supermarket. There I bought a packet of natural confectionery company christmas celebration mix. It was delicious and naughty.

This is why I know that in october, christmas decorations come out.

Christmas is festive, its warm, its busy, sweet and smells like ginger and cloves. Until today I did not realise the extent of how much I love gingerbread. I had an overwhelming urge to celebrate christmas, I fought off buying premature decorations or sweets and decided to bake a gingerbread cake.

After scrolling through thirty tabs of recipes and rested upon this one. I wished for a recipe that indulged in spices, was oh-so-ginger and classicly cake.

All my wishes came true…

all gone.
